Merle McKenzie, of All West P&I Services Ltd, becomes the Shipowners’ Club exclusive Correspondent in Western Canada.
The Shipowners’ Club, the leading P&I insurer in the smaller and specialist vessel sector, announced the appointment of Merle McKenzie as the new local Correspondent in Western Canada.
Acting as the Club’s local Correspondent since 2011 in his capacity as casualty investigator and maritime manager at Bull Housser in Vancouver, Merle is now the Club’s exclusive Correspondent, as part of All West P&I Services Ltd, providing support to the Members of The Shipowners’ Club.
With an accomplished career investigating maritime casualties for more than three decades primarily on the west coast of Canada and the Canadian Arctic, Merle’s extensive experience in the sector includes all nature of P&I casualties including collisions between vessels, collisions with fixed and floating objects, cargo damage, bodily injury and fatalities to personnel and passengers, pollution and wreck removal. He also has particular experience with the tug and tow business having represented several of Canada’s largest fleets.
