New Fast-Track Shipping Route Launched Between Guangzhou and LA

A major milestone was achieved on Wednesday as a vessel docked at Nansha Port in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, preparing for its maiden voyage to the US West Coast. This marked the official launch of Guangzhou’s first direct premium express shipping route to the Port of Los Angeles, according to China Daily.

High-Speed Weekly Service

The newly established service offers high-efficiency, direct transit between Nansha Port and the Port of Los Angeles within 14 days. Cargo arriving at the destination will be unloaded and made available for delivery every Thursday, ensuring predictability and speed.

Operated by Hede Shipping

The route is independently managed by Hede Shipping, a subsidiary of Hebei Port. It deploys a fleet of five vessels, each operating on a weekly schedule from Guangzhou to Los Angeles, ensuring consistent and reliable service.

Strategic Benefits for South China

This direct route greatly shortens shipping time from South China to the US West Coast. It reduces overall logistics costs and enhances transportation efficiency for industries such as cross-border e-commerce and export-driven manufacturing.

Streamlined Customs and Support Infrastructure

Guangzhou Port Group highlighted the strong backing from customs, maritime, commerce, border inspection, and port authorities. These stakeholders have worked together to streamline joint inspection and customs clearance procedures, boosting overall operational efficiency for international trade.
