NH3 Clean Energy Signs MoU With Pilbara Ports For Ammonia Export

NH3 Clean Energy, formerly Hexagon Energy Materials, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pilbara Ports Authority to explore options for the export and bunkering of 600,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of clean ammonia from its flagship WAH2 project.

Ammonia Export & Bunkering at Port of Dampier
Collaboration to establish operational arrangements over the next 12 months
Covers ship loading for export and marine fuel bunkering
Ammonia to be transported via new-build pipeline in existing infrastructure corridor

WAH2 aims to supply low-emission ammonia to Japan & South Korea
Supports decarbonization of bulk carriers transporting iron ore to Asia
