The latest weekly update (12 September 2025) of the Ningbo Containerised Freight Index (NCFI) — as compiled by the Ningbo Shipping Exchange and published via the Baltic Exchange — shows sharp declines across several major routes from Ningbo.

Route Current Index (12‑Sep‑2025) Previous Week (05‑Sep‑2025) Weekly Change
Ningbo → Europe (Hamburg & Rotterdam) ~ 729.42 ~ 855.93 –14.78%
Ningbo → West Mediterranean (Barcelona, Valencia & Genoa) ~ 937.75 ~ 1061.06 –11.62%
Ningbo → East Mediterranean (Piraeus & Istanbul) ~ 749.44 ~ 865.32 –13.39%
Ningbo → Middle East (Dammam & Dubai) ~ 722.76 ~ 1067.15 –32.27% (steepest drop)

Every major route tracked by the index has seen significant weakening. The drop to the Middle East route is particularly steep, with over a 30% fall in just one week.

The routes to Europe and the Mediterranean, while less precipitous, also show double‑digit percentage declines, indicating a broader softening in demand or freight rate pressures.
