NYK in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for A 4th Consecutive Year

NYK has been included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for a fourth consecutive year, reads a company press release.

The Yearbook comprises the world’s leading companies based on their sustainable business practices.

Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

S&P Global creates the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), one of the most influential global sustainability indexes, and the Yearbook is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) used to create the DJSI.

This year, more than 7,800 companies in 61 industries around the world were evaluated, and the top 15%, or 708 of those companies, including NYK, were selected for inclusion in the Yearbook. NYK is proud of this recognition of the company’s work across the globe to deliver value to its stakeholders.

NYK Group ESG Story

In February 2021, NYK released the NYK Group ESG Story, which aims to further integrate ESG into the company’s management strategy and promotes activities that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through business activities.

In March 2022, NYK released the updated NYK Group ESG Story 2022, which introduces initiatives for integrating ESG into the Group’s management strategies set forth in the “NYK Group ESG Story” and provides a partial explanation of the Group’s sustainable growth strategy from a long-term perspective.

In order to continue to be a corporate group that remains essential to society and industry, the NYK Group has implemented a number of ESG management initiatives. The Group aims to be a sustainable solution provider that creates new value while maximizing profits and achieving social and environmental sustainability over the long term.
