Offshore crew supply ship with 42 passengers on board, suffered engine room fire Jul 9 in Okhotsk sea, reports Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

Offshore crew supply ship BROMPTON SUN with 42 passengers on board, offshore oil rig platform personnel, suffered fire in the engine room in the afternoon Jul 9 in Okhotsk sea off central Sakhalin Island coast. She was sailing to an oil rig. 

Fire extinguished

Fire was extinguished by the crew. The passengers were taken by offshore supply ship KATUN (IMO 9701126), no injuries were reported. 

BROMPTON SUN is sailing back to base port Korsakov, southern Sakhalin, under its own power.
