- MOL launches “One MOL Safety Campaign” for 2019, which aims at safety at work.

- In order to prevent accidents, MOL has been promoting the concept of “STOP and THINK MORE” as a habit to its seafarers since 2017. Now, they are promoting and highlighting actual practices of “STOP and THINK MORE”.
According to an article published in Seanews, the President and CEO of MOL, Junichiro Ikeda, announced that its annual safety campaign will commence on 15 July, for all MOL Group-operated and owned vessels.
Safety at work
MOL stated that safety is the most important priority in all MOL business activities. The company views safe operation as a key social obligation and is committed to forging ahead to become the world leader in safe operation.
As part of these efforts, the president, executives, and other personnel will actively conduct an extensive series of visits to MOL Group-operated and owned vessels.
Discussions for safety reinforcement
During their visits, they will meet with seafarers who are responsible for safe operation on the front line and they will have discussions related to safety reinforcement among all MOL seafarers and shore staff.
The learnings gained through this campaign will be shared throughout the MOL Group, including MOL Group-operated and owned vessels, to further enhance the group’s safety culture.
- Duration of the campaign will be from 15 July to 31 March 2020
- The main theme would be STOP and THINK MORE ~One Step Ahead~
