Swedens Pallas Group has added its first crude tanker, reports Splash247.
Tanker renamed Pallas Orust
- Smart Energy, a subsidiary of the company, has snapped up the 114,000 dwt Pytheas (built 2004), a ship sold by sold Greek owner Tsakos in June.
- The Samsung Heavy Industries-built ship fetched $15m.
- The tanker has been renamed Pallas Orust.
Smart Energy Logistics the owner
The Pallas group and its shipping outfit Pallas Shipping also has two bunker tankers, the 3,500 dwt Pallas Glory and a ship simply named Pallas.
Gothenburg-based Smart Energy aims to become a leading supplier of fuels to the Swedish people with a vision to have over 100 smart gas stations around Sweden within a five-year period. Equasis lists Smart Energy Logistics as the owner of the ship.
