Marine fuel sales at Panama gained by about 4.5% on year in August, reports Manifold Times quoting the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Total bunker sales at Panama was 388,640 metric tonnes (mt) in August, compared to sales of 372,055 mt during the similar period in 2020.
Bunker sales in the Pacific side of Panama
In August 2021, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 323,534 mt; 213,581 mt for VLSFO, 74,695 mt of RMG 380, 5,285 mt of marine gas oil (MGO), and 29,973 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine fuel sales of 305,976 mt a year before in August; with VLSFO sales of 224,912 mt, RMG sales of 49,196 mt, MGO sales of 9,994, and 21,874 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Bunker sales in the Atlantic side of Panama
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded sales of 65,106 mt during August 2021; 50,966 mt of VLSFO, 4,000 mt of RMG 380, 2,980 mt of MGO, and 7,160mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 66,079 mt in the similar period a year before; with VLSFO sales of 45,278 mt, RMG 380 sales of 10,055 mt, MGO sales of 1,345 mt, and LSMGO sales of 9,401 mt.
