Bunker fuel sales at Panama fell by about 0.72% in June 2024, reports Manifold Times, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).
Panama marine fuel sales drop
Total bunker sales at Panama was 385,716 metric tonnes (mt) in June 2024, compared to sales of 382,955 mt during the similar period in 2023.
In June 2024, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 311,249 mt; 180,702 mt of VLSFO, 103,652 mt of RMG 380, 2,682 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 24,213 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine sales of 318,489 mt a year before on June; with VLSFO sales at 221,912 mt, RMG 380 sales at 62,751 mt, MGO sales at 8,012 mt, and 25,814 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 74,467 during June 2024; the figure comprised 54,832 mt of VLSFO, 5,805 mt of RMG 380, 4,305 mt of MGO, and 9,525 mt of LSMGO.
It saw total sales of 64,466 mt in June a year before; with VLSFO sales of 52,775 mt, RMG 380 sales of 4,033, 2,422 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 5,236 mt.
