Performance Shipping signs memorandum to acquire Aframax tanker for $35m, reports Ship Technology.
The acquisition
For the acquisition of a 105,525dwt Aframax tanker vessel for $35m, Greece-based Performance Shipping has entered a memorandum of agreement through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary.
The Aframax tanker named as M/T Phoenix Beacon is being purchased from an unaffiliated third party.
The vessel was constructed in 2011 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea and will be renamed as M/T P Monterey.
