The Residents of Blackrock Tidy Town experienced sleepless nights for more than a week after a vessel was anchored off Dundalk Bay.
What happened?
Numerous mysteries had surrounded around the large cargo ship that was anchored off Dundalk Bay.
A Number of theories ranging from pirates, ghost ships, and even to mutiny surrounded the anchored cargo ship.
Mystery solved
However, the mystery surrounding the ship has come to an end after the vessel was identified as a Liberian-registered vessel ‘Comet’ which has been anchored off Blackrock for well over a week.
The vessel had unloaded its cargo at Greenore or Warrenpoint before anchoring at its current location while awaiting its next job.
