Piscotty Discharged From Hospital After Horrific Collision

On Monday, St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty was playing left field against Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.  He was in a pursuit of a dive to left-center where he collided with center fielder Peter Bourjos in the seventh inning.  Piscotty became motionless when Bourjo’s left knee caught Piscotty’s head.

The game was stopped Piscotty was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical aid. All tests were negative except for a bruise on his head.  He was hospitalised for observation.

On Tuesday, Piscotty was discharged from the hospital. In 62 games this season, the rookie is hitting .310/.365/.502 with 15 doubles, seven homers and 39 RBI.
