P & O ferry deployed on Cairnryan – Larne, UK, Irish sea, suffered mechanical failure and went adrift on Apr 26, reports Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

Ferry EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY deployed on Cairnryan – Larne, UK, Irish sea, suffered mechanical failure and went adrift at around 1220 UTC Apr 26, while en route from Cairnryan to Larne, with 410 passengers on board.

According to track date, the crew managed to fix the problem, and ferry was under way at 1415 UTC, she arrived at port of destination Larne and docked at around 1500 UTC Apr 26.

Blackout was mentioned, “passengers were left in the dark”, says media.
