The spill was reported at the Vopak Terminal at around 10:50 a.m., according to the Coast Guard. An unknown amount was spilled. The majority of the oil spill was contained on the pier whereas some of the oil-water mixture entered the water, according to the Coast Guard.
Oil-spill response organizations have been contacted and are conducting clean-up operations.
