The Port of Hamburg has taken another step in expanding its global partnerships with a dedicated roadshow across China, promoting international cooperation and sustainable logistics. The series of events, organized by Hafen Hamburg Marketing (HHM), made stops in Tianjin, Shenzhen, and Shanghai — three of China’s most influential port cities.
The “German Logistics Roundtable” brought together representatives from ports, shipping companies, logistics firms, and industry organizations from both countries. The sessions focused on deepening trade relations, digital innovation in port operations, and advancing sustainability through alternative fuels and efficient cargo handling.
At each stop, discussions explored how German and Chinese ports can jointly strengthen the reliability and resilience of global supply chains. The collaboration highlighted Hamburg’s pivotal role as a European logistics hub connected to Asia through well-established maritime routes and intermodal networks.
The roadshow’s final stop in Shanghai coincided with the China International Import Expo, providing a platform for further dialogue on green port technologies and long-term trade partnerships. HHM emphasized that the continued cooperation with Chinese counterparts remains a cornerstone of Hamburg’s international strategy for port development and global exchange.
