An important update will affect the SAECS/SRX service schedule, starting with the Santa Isabel 244S vessel, arriving in London on Monday, October 28th. This change involves the swapping of London and Rotterdam ports to enhance service performance, reports Maerak.

What is Changing?

The current port rotation, which lists Rotterdam before London Gateway, will be adjusted. In the new rotation, London Gateway will precede Rotterdam. This aims to create a more streamlined port operation schedule.

Current Rotation:

  1. Port Elizabeth (Coega)
  2. Durban
  3. Cape Town
  4. Rotterdam
  5. London Gateway
  6. Bremerhaven
  7. Algeciras (APMT)
  8. Algeciras (TTIA)

New Rotation Effective October 28th:

  1. Port Elizabeth (Coega)
  2. Durban
  3. Cape Town
  4. London Gateway
  5. Rotterdam
  6. Bremerhaven
  7. Algeciras (APMT)
  8. Algeciras (TTIA)

Reason for the Change: Operational Efficiency

The primary reason for this adjustment is to optimize port operations, leading to more efficient cargo handling and processing. This change will allow for smoother logistics and enhance the overall efficiency of the service.

Improved Reliability for Customers

The new schedule will contribute to greater reliability by helping the service maintain consistency, reducing potential delays, and ensuring smoother operations across all ports in the rotation.
