PortMiami Posts TEU Growth & Breaks Cruise Passenger Record

PortMiami closed Fiscal Year 2025 with 1,115,058 TEUs, up 2.35% from the previous year.
The port has now recorded over one million TEUs for 11 consecutive years, reflecting steady demand and operational improvements.

Investments Boost Efficiency

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava stated that upgrades to infrastructure and technology have enhanced the port’s competitiveness.
Port Director Hydi Webb added that the results highlight strong collaboration with cruise lines, cargo carriers, and local businesses.

Cruise Sector Reaches All-Time High

The port welcomed 8,564,225 cruise passengers, a 4.02% increase year over year — the highest annual count in PortMiami’s history.
Officials say continued investment in terminals and passenger operations is driving the momentum.
