Posidonia 2024 Sets Attendance Records and Facilitates Major Maritime Deals

Posidonia 2024 achieved its highest attendance in 55 years, with pre-registrations already underway for the next event scheduled for June 1-5, 2026. This year’s event broke records in exhibition space, number of exhibitors, and visitors, underscoring its significance in the maritime industry.

Significant Business Announcements

The event served as a platform for major business deals, including the notable $1.5 billion acquisition of Navig8’s tanker fleet and pool business by ADNOC L&S. This deal was one of many high-value transactions confirmed at the event.

Industry-Wide Participation

Theodore Vokos, Managing Director of Posidonia Exhibitions S.A., highlighted the event’s broad participation from all sectors of the marine economy. This included shipyards, shipowners, ship registries, classification societies, propulsion system manufacturers, energy providers, software developers, trading firms, legal and consultancy services, and financing firms.

Global Representation and Feedback

The event saw 32,527 visitors from 130 countries, a 12% increase from Posidonia 2022. Exhibitors from 81 countries participated, with notable increases in participation from the Americas. Attendees praised the organization, the quality of visitors, and the networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
