Record-Breaking Event
Princess Cruises, based in Santa Clarita, California, has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest pizza party held onboard multiple ships. On July 12, 2024, passengers on 16 Princess Cruises ships consumed over 60,000 pizza slices, with 11,445 people participating in the event across the Caribbean, Alaska, and Europe.
Event Details
The pizza party was organized to celebrate Princess Cruises’ partnership with 13-time world pizza champion Chef Tony Gemignani. The monumental event involved over 6,500 pounds of dough, 3,400 pounds of flour, 2,300 pounds of cheese, and 1,400 pounds of pepperoni slices.

Princess Cruises operates a fleet of 16 ships that visit more than 330 ports, with trip durations ranging from 3 to 111 days.
