Propeller Fuels Greece
The move, to form ‘Propeller Fuels Greece’ is consistent with the business plan to create a global platform and is the first overseas expansion since the company was formed in October 2017.
PFL is well resourced, has first class supportive shareholders, and is further supported by its banking partner of choice – HSBC. The company added it has a long term vision for global expansion embracing and implementing new concepts and technologies.
Support from Oil NRG
For the first 2 years after formation, PFL said it focused on establishing its presence in the UK market with its physical distillate supply offering, with the support of parent company, Oil NRG.
PFL explained it was then able to establish a leading position in this market, thanks to very competitive pricing, quick response times for prompt deliveries, and market leading focus on operations, creating a reliable service.
Oil NRG is presently one of the largest oil distributors in the UK, and has been commended as one of the ‘1000 companies to inspire Britain.’
Dynamic traders with substantial expertise
Propeller Fuels Greece is headed by Nellos Filopoulos, a veteran of the global marine fuels industry, having held senior positions in some of the leading players in the sector.
PFL noted Filopoulos will be supported by several young dynamic traders, each of which have substantial experience in the Greek markets as well as the wider Med and global markets.
“We are thrilled and excited to have Filopoulos’s guiding hand leading our new venture, as well as the team under his command. Nellos and I have been colleagues before so we have a first class working relationship,” said Robert Thompson, MD of PFL.
“I feel deeply honoured to be given such a wonderful opportunity and strongly believe to the success of this new venture for Propeller Fuels despite the difficult times we are all going through these days,” added Filopoulos.
