Queen Mary 2 Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

A baby was born aboard Queen Mary 2 that was docked in Brooklyn on sunday.

An ocean liner was near the end of its transatlantic voyage from Southhampton, England to Brooklyn.  A German woman passenger delivered a baby boy named Benjamin Brooklyn on Saturday night.  The vessels carried 2,620-passenger along with the tiny bud.

When the vessel was nearing Brooklyn Johanna was rushed to the ship’s small hospital by her brother as her delivery pain started.  The baby that was due in three weeks but just couldn’t wait was born in the American territory.  So that makes him an American boy.  The mother and the baby were taken to the New York Methodist Hospital at the Red Hook Cruise Terminal.

“I am doing well, and the baby is incredibly healthy.  I am also thankful how good the people of New York were to us,” said Johanna.
