Manufacturers of pilot ladders must certify compliance with SOLAS regulation V/23.2.3. Embarkation ladders should comply with SOLAS regulation III/11.7 or ISO 5489 requirements. RMI recommends inspecting pilot and embarkation ladders on all RMI-registered vessels for potential counterfeits.
