What happened?

Passenger ro-ro ship suffered engine failure at night Aug 24 in waters of More og Romsdal, northernmost Western Norway, while en route from Kristiansund to Bergen with 236 passengers and 70 crew on board.

Caught in rough weather

Disabled ship was caught in rough weather and dropped both anchors to prevent drift.

Managed to restart

At 2020 UTC Aug 24 crew managed to restart engine, the ship headed for Molde port More og Romsdal, under own power, where she safely arrived at around 2230 UTC the same day.
