A Revolutionary Cruise Experience
Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Series has redefined luxury travel, offering groundbreaking design and unparalleled guest experiences. Since the debut of Celebrity Edge in 2018, each ship in the series has set new industry standards. Celebrity Xcel, which will launch later this year, continues this tradition with seven new experiences designed with input from cruisers through the Xcel Dream Makers program, a first-of-its-kind initiative.
Innovative Features and Guest-Centered Design
Celebrity Xcel, launching in November, will feature the iconic Magic Carpet®, a floating platform at sea that provides guests with a unique space for dining, entertainment, and enjoying breathtaking views. Additionally, the Infinite Veranda® staterooms on Edge Series ships blur the lines between the indoors and the outdoors, bringing passengers closer to their destinations. The new Edge 6 will retain these signature features while introducing exciting, yet-to-be-announced innovations.
Chantiers de l’Atlantique Partnership: Pioneering the Future of Cruising
The partnership between Royal Caribbean Group and Chantiers de l’Atlantique continues to drive innovation. Laurent Castaing, CEO of Chantiers de l’Atlantique, highlighted the sixth ship as the epitome of the Edge Series design—elegant, high-performing, and sustainable, with new methanol capabilities that align with the industry’s push toward greener cruising.
Royal Caribbean Group’s Growing Fleet
Royal Caribbean Group’s newbuild pipeline now includes eight ships on order, including the upcoming Celebrity Xcel and Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas. This continued investment in new vessels demonstrates the company’s commitment to moderate capacity growth, providing guests with unforgettable vacation experiences year after year.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Luxury Cruising
With Edge 6 in the works and ongoing efforts to improve the guest experience, Royal Caribbean Group is shaping the future of luxury cruising, bringing guests closer to the destinations they love, all while maintaining its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
