Five people were killed in Russian attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Odessa and Kryvyi Rih, local authorities reported on Wednesday.
Civilian Ship Targeted in Odessa
Four Syrians lost their lives when a civilian vessel in the port of Odessa was attacked, according to Governor Oleh Kiper. The ship, which had just been loaded with wheat for export to Algeria, was struck, leaving two others injured.
Rocket Attack in Kryvyi Rih
In Kryvyi Rih, a woman was killed in a Russian rocket attack, as per Serhiy Lysak, the Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The attack also left nine people injured and caused infrastructure damage.
Further Drone and Missile Strikes
- In Dnipro, one person was injured.
- Drone attacks caused damage in the Kyiv region.
- The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched:
- Three Iskander-M missiles at Kryvyi Rih and Odessa.
- 133 drones across Ukraine.
- Ukraine successfully shot down 98 drones, but 20 were lost due to electronic countermeasures.
Ukraine’s Ongoing Defense
Ukraine has been defending itself against Russia’s invasion for over three years, with continued Western support in its resistance.
