A New Addition

Damen Shipyards Group has delivered the Shoalbuster 3209 vessel, named “Al Mirfa,” to SAFEEN Group, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group. The vessel is set to bolster SAFEEN’s capabilities in buoy maintenance, towing, and other support activities in the Arabian Gulf.

Ideal for Buoy Maintenance

The Shoalbuster 3209’s standard features, including shallow draught, a heavy-duty deck crane, and a FiFi1 fire-fighting system, make it an ideal choice for buoy maintenance. Additional equipment, such as buoy clamps and chain stoppers, enhances its suitability for the task.

Expanding Fleet and Operational Demands

SAFEEN Group, which already operates a Damen Shoalbuster 2609 and two Damen ASD Tugs 2411, is expanding its marine service fleet to meet growing operational demands. The addition of the Shoalbuster 3209 further enhances their ability to provide comprehensive marine services.

Damen Shipyards Group CEO Arnout Damen welcomed SAFEEN Group’s delegation for the vessel’s naming ceremony. This marks a continued partnership, with Damen’s service hub at Albwardy Damen in the UAE set to provide aftersales support for SAFEEN’s expanding fleet, reaffirming the trust and reliability between the two entities.
