On behalf of a Bermuda-based shipowner, SHi ordered the tank design of four new LNG carriers in October 2021 as reported by Offshore Energy.
GTT will design the vessels’ tanks as part of this contract. Each ship will also have a capacity of 174,000 cubic metres. The GTT Mark III Flex membrane containment system will be used in the LNGC tanks.
The warships will be delivered in the first quarter of 2024, according to the schedule.
According to GTT, vessel deliveries will take place during 2024.
