According to a Loadstar report, Schenker the German rail operator has approached CMA CGM to be part of its supply chain.
The obvious question for most of my trade sources both in Europe and stateside is: did CMA CGM buy Ceva Logistics on a whim, given how the group’s consolidated financials look currently? Saying “they are horrible”, as one executive put it this week, would be an understatement – surely, the carrier needs help to monetize its likely upcoming divestment push, and swiftly.
Elsewhere, many others are fully focused on the fortunes of DB Schenker.
