A man who fell overboard from a cargo ship in Australia, has been found alive after swimming for more than eight kilometres over 24 hours, reports Safety4sea.

It is reported that the man who fell overboard from the cargo ship off the NSW coast has been found on a Swansea beach alive. The crew member was last seen on board the bulk carrier, Double Delight, on 7 November.
Per the reports, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) were notified by the Newcastle Harbourmaster that a crew member had gone overboard.
Two Marine Rescue NSW vessels had also been tasked by NSW Police Marine Area Command to search for the crew member missing from the large commercial vessel off Newcastle. The AMSA was co-ordinating the search.
