A Russian native suffered 90% burns in a containership on Sunday morning. It is reported that the seafarer was at the gym when a fire broke out. Immediately the ship master radioed in for support. A helicopter reached the vessel in 30 mins and took the seafarer to a hospital in the Polish city of Gdynia. The reports say that the seafarer is stable in condition after being hospitalised.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
