Norway’s Hoglund has secured a contract to provide equipment for LNG bunkering vessels Canada’s Seaspan ordered in China, reports LNGPrime.

Integrated automation system (IAS) for newbuilds

Earlier this year, CIMC SOE said it would build two 7,600-cbm LNG bunkering vessels for Seaspan Marine Transportation.

Besides two firm LNG bunkering ships, the deal also included an option for a third vessel.

According to a statement by Hoglund on Tuesday, the firm would deliver integrated automation system (IAS) for three newbuild LNG bunkering vessels.

The IAS will seamlessly connect the cargo handling, control and electrical propulsion systems on each of the 7600 cbm ships for Canadian owner Seaspan ULC,” Hoglund said.

The Norwegian firm did not provide the price tag of the deal.
