Celsius Tankers has ordered an 180,000 cu m LNG newbuilding vessel from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), reports Business Korea.
SHI takes first LNG newbuilding order for 2025
On 20 January, Samsung Heavy Industries announced that it had secured an order for an LNG carrier from an Oceania-based shipping company, valued at 379.6 billion marking the first order for the company for 2025.
As reported, Celsius Tankers made the order to SHI, for an LNG newbuilding designed to minimize CO2 emissions and methane slip from operations via the installation of the latest available features, including the latest WIN-GD X-DF 2.2 propulsion system.
Celsius Tankers is set to take delivery of the vessel by June 2027.
