On August 8, a short circuit reportedly caused a fire on the ship. The vessel was docked at port when the incident occurred.
What happened?
The vessel ‘Arja’ which was docked port of Werkendam reportedly caught fire on the morning of August 8.
The port officials immediately called the fire trucks to douse the fire and were able to successfully bring the fire under control.
Short circuit cause for fire:
After the fire had been extinguished, the fire brigade removed a part of a wall to reach the origin and to determine the cause of the fire. It was found that the fire has been reportedly caused by a short circuit.
Investigation launched:
The officials have initiated investigation to determine the reason for short circuit onboard the ship. Fortunately, none of the crew member on the ship were injured during the fire.
