Singapore And Indonesia Renew Maritime Training MoU For Two More Years

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Indonesia’s Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance maritime training and development for another two years. This renewal marks two decades of bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

Key Highlights of the MoU Renewal

20 Years of Collaboration – Since 2005, over 120 maritime training programmes and workshops have been conducted, benefiting 1,800+ government officers.
Enhanced Safety & Environmental Protection – Training has supported the implementation of IMO conventions, improving navigational safety and marine environmental protection.
Future-Focused Training – Senior officers are being equipped to address new maritime challenges.
