Singapore Bunker Fuel Volume Rose By 6.2% On Year In February

Sales of marine fuels at Singapore port rose by 6.2% on year during February 2021, according to Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) data, says an article published in Manifold Times.

In total, 4.12 million metric tonnes (mt) (exact: 4,120,101 mt) of various bunker fuels were sold at the world’s largest bunkering port in February, more than 3.87 million mt (exact: 3,879,871 mt) recorded during February 2020.

Deliveries of 500 centistokes (cSt), 380 cSt and 180 cSt grades in February 2021 (against on year), were respectively 29,300 mt (-70% from 97,705 mt), 972,718 mt (+86% from 0.522 million mt), while 180 cSt product recorded no sales in February 2021 and 2020.

Low sulphur sales

Low sulphur variants of 500 cSt, 380 cSt and 180 cSt products respectively recorded no sales, 2.01 million mt (+8.6% from 1.85 million mt), and 201,400 mt (+34% from 150,300 mt).

Low sulphur 100 cSt recorded sales of 516,800 mt (-39% from 849,300 mt) and ULSFO had no sales in February (-100% from 59,800 mt).

Low sulphur marine gas oil (LS MGO) sales were posted at 358,500 mt (-10% from 400,248 mt) and MGO at 33,500 mt (-61% from 86,400 mt).
