Singapore’s maritime start-up Pyxis has officially unveiled its first 100% electric passenger vessel, X Tron.

The launch event was held on March 27, 2024, at the Clifford Pier, and according to Pyxis, was attended by 300 guests, including representatives from Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
In January 2024, MPA selected Pyxis Energy, Pyxis Maritime and SP Mobility partnership, as well as Seatrium O&G (International) and Yinson Electric for their vessel charging concepts to be piloted in Singapore.
To remind you, in late 2023, Pyxis Maritime and Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the joint development and marketing of the electric vessels (EV) business in the Singapore region.
