Collaboration to Strengthen Green Fuels Supply Chain

Combining SIPG Energy’s port operations with Argus’ pricing expertise, the partnership will support transparent analysis of green methanol, biofuels, and bio-LNG. Argus China’s Head Gao Hua emphasized the importance of building a transparent, data-rich green fuel ecosystem to support market participants.

Supporting Global Shipping’s Low-Carbon Transition

SIPG Energy’s Executive Director Luo Wenbin noted the strategic role of Shanghai Port’s Green Energy Hub in the maritime sector’s decarbonization. The MoU will help strengthen bunkering capabilities, encourage green fuel trading, and increase Shanghai’s appeal as an international shipping hub.

The SIPG–Argus partnership marks a timely and strategic step toward a greener maritime future. By aligning port infrastructure with advanced market intelligence, the initiative is set to accelerate the shift to low-carbon marine fuels and reinforce Shanghai’s position in the global energy transition.
