In December 2015, a delegation from Hamburg Messe had visited Iran to attend Iranimex, the International Marine Industries Exhibition.  On this occasion, the group invited potential visitors, exhibitors and delegations to Germany.

Iran will exhibit its areas of expertise from September 6 to 9, 2016.

Commenting on this, Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH said: “We are setting the stage for the formation of new international business contacts, providing opportunities for fair participants to become acquainted with Iranian companies and potential customers.”

He added: “Iranian businesses are showing a lively interest in European products and German know-how.”

The global trade did not have Iran’s participation for a long-term.  The first sanctions were imposed by the United States over three decades ago.  In January 2016, a large portion of the sanctions were lifted after the Iran’s nuclear deal framework agreement was reached.

The reports according to the national shipping company Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, Iran plans to revamp its national fleet by investing about $120 billion by the year 2020.
