Call on the EU to intervene

The overheated container market now makes European shippers and freight forwarders call on the EU to intervene against the container lines.

The actual scenario

Shippers and freight forwarders in the associations European Freight Forwarders Association, CLECAT, and European Shippers’ Council, ESC, have joined forces to voice a joint alarm with the EU Competition Authorities.

The associations call on authorities to react to the container market seen in the past many months, which has sent rates soaring and created a severe shortage of containers.
