Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has signed a new contract with Subsea7 for its subsea construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Subsea. The agreement includes a two-year firm contract with three yearly extension options, set to begin on January 1, 2026.

Normand Subsea’s Long-Term Collaboration with Subsea7

The Normand Subsea has been working with Subsea7 since 2009 and continues to be a key asset in subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) operations. The 113-meter-long vessel, built in 2009 with a VS 471 design, is known for its versatility and efficiency in offshore projects. With accommodation for 90 personnel, it remains a valuable resource for complex subsea operations.

In mid-2024, Subsea7 extended its existing contract with Solstad Offshore, confirming the 2025 charter option. This new agreement for 2026 and beyond ensures a continued partnership between the two companies, supporting Subsea7’s offshore activities.

Solstad Offshore’s Stake in Normand Subsea

The Normand Subsea CSV is owned by Solstad Maritime Holding, in which Solstad Offshore holds a 27.3% share. This long-term contract reinforces Solstad Offshore’s strong market presence in the offshore sector and highlights the growing demand for specialized subsea vessels in the industry.
