Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday.  The Hornets’ goalkeeper, Heurelho Gomes kept Chelsea forwards at bay to earn his team a point from the game.  The result leaves Chelsea in the bottom half of the Premier League table in 13th place while Watford climbed to 9th.

Barcelona thrashed Valencia 7-0 in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at Camp Nou on Wednesday.  Luis Suarez scored four goals while Lionel Messi scored three goals to hand Valencia their first defeat in the Copa del Rey under Gary Neville.  The second leg of the semi-final will take place at the Mestalla Stadium on 10th February.

The Virgo Super Kings defeated the Leo Lions by four wickets in a last-ball thriller in the Masters Champions League (MCL) on Thursday. The Lions scored 146/7, aided by James Franklin’s 44 as Murali Kartik took three wickets. The Super Kings then chased down the target with the help of Azhar Mahmood’s 48 and James Foster’s last ball boundary.

In the eighth match of the Masters Champions League (MCL), the Sagittarius Strikers defeated the Libra Legends by 63 runs in Sharjah on Thursday. South Korean player, Jang Kun Lee got a game-high 11 points for the Warriors. Notably, this is the first time in the league’s history that the Bulls have lost to the Warriors.
