Former team manager of Indian cricket team Sunil Dev on Sunday was caught on camera alleging that India-England 2014 test match at Manchester which ended in three days was fixed. Dev, in a sting operation by a Hindi daily, claimed that captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni chose to bat first instead of bowling as was decided in a team meeting.

Super Kings defeat Commanders to reach MCL semis
Virgo Super Kings defeated Capricorn Commanders by 12 runs in the Masters Champions League to reach the semis. Batting first, the Super Kings scored 131/9 powered by Neil McKenzie’s 46 while Ben Laughlin took 4/18. The Commanders were limited to 119/9 with Malinga Bandara starring for the Super Kings with 4/19. The loss for the Commanders knocked them out.

Lions defeat Libra Legends to reach MCL semis
Leo Lions reached the semi-finals of the Masters Champions League where they will face the Virgo Super Kings. They defeated the Libra Legends, who lost all their matches, by 11 runs on Sunday. The Lions scored 201/3 with Hamish Marshall and Scott Styris scoring 64 and 45 respectively while the Legends finished at 190/9, thanks to Ryan ten Doeschate’s 67.

India’s 1st Test victory came on this day
On February 8, 1952, India won their first test match ever after 24 unsuccessful attempts. Pankaj Roy and Polly Umrigar scored centuries while left-arm spinner Vinoo Mankad took 12 wickets in the match to set up the victory for India in the fifth Test against England in Madras. The win also meant India drew the Test series.

26 medals for India on South Asian Games day 2
India took their overall medals tally to 45 on day two of the South Asian Games, winning 26 medals. The second day saw the Indians win ten medals in Swimming, five medals in wrestling, four medals in weightlifting, three in cycling and two each in table tennis and wushu. Sri Lanka are second with 40 medals.
