Stolt Tankers has called on NSSLGlobal to support and maintain bridge navigation and communication systems across its fleet of tankers, says an article published on Riviera.

Managing service renewal dates

Stolt Tankers will use the Insight web-based portal with an automated module for managing service renewal dates and equipment audits and certification to increase visibility and optimise vessel availability across the tanker fleet.

Demonstrate the ability

“We needed a partner that could not only provide the expertise and flexibility to meet our specific requirements, but also demonstrate the ability to manage such a large undertaking on a global scale,” said Stolt Tankers senior electrical project manager Sean Crowley.

Navigation and communications systems

NSSLGlobal will provide dedicated personnel and spare parts across port locations and other resources needed to meet Stolt Tankers’ expectations from this agreement.

It has a presence across 13 locations worldwide and specialises in servicing and repairing all onboard navigation and communications systems, and providing satellite connectivity through VSAT and L-band back-up.

Requirements future

NSSLGlobal engineers and technical service co-ordinators will offer full 24/365 technical support to the Stolt Tanker fleet.

“Both Stolt Tankers and NSSLGlobal worked together to put a bespoke package in place that will not only take care of their service needs now,” said NSSLGlobal group service engineering director Paul Rutherford, “but will ensure Stolt have their long-term service requirements covered for the future.”
