Strategic Marine, a Singapore-based global leader in aluminium vessel construction, has delivered a next-generation 27-metre Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) to Yeosu Ocean Co., Ltd., marking its first collaboration with a Korean client. Announced on 21 July 2025, this delivery underlines Strategic Marine’s growing momentum in the Asian offshore wind market and its ability to secure new clients in emerging clean energy regions.
StratCat 27 Design Engineered for Korean Waters
The newly delivered Ventus Camillia is based on the StratCat 27 design, developed in close partnership with BMT. Purpose-built for the challenging conditions of international offshore wind operations, the vessel features a specially designed hull for improved stability and seakeeping. Its fixed-pitch propulsion system enhances maneuverability, reduces emissions, and boosts fuel efficiency—critical for operations in South Korea’s demanding offshore environment.
Supporting South Korea’s Clean Energy Ambitions
This delivery comes at a time when South Korea is accelerating its offshore wind energy development. The Ventus Camillia will support essential crew transfer operations for wind farm installation and maintenance, helping to drive the country’s clean energy goals forward and reinforcing its commitment to a low-carbon future.
