Supply Ship Attacked, Reportedly 3 Kidnapped

A recent news published in the Maritime Bulletin states that an offshore supply ship attacked, probably hijacked, Gulf of Guinea.

What happened?

The ship resumed voyage, under way though at reduced speed. Reportedly, 3 crew were kidnapped.

Ship was attacked and reportedly, boarded, at around 2130 UTC Oct 25 in Gulf of Guinea, 50 nm SW of southern Bioko island, Equatorial Guinea. Understood it’s an offshore supply ship MONTET TIDE – position and time correlate with attack position and time. The ship is adrift since attack time with AIS on. MSC LUCIA escorted by Russian Naval Group is approaching drifting MONTET TIDE position, probably Russian Navy will assist or rescue her from pirates. MONTET TIDE is en route from Punt Europa Terminal, Bioko Island, to Malongo, Angola.
