On Feb 9, Sea Bay, en route from the Hound Point Terminal, U.K., to Antwerp loaded with crude oil, ran onto a sandbank eight kilometers off the coast of Zeebrugge, due to an engine black out causing a subsequent loss of power.
During the following high tide, four tugboats refloated the ship which was towed further outside the fairway off Ostend for investigations.
No structural damage was visible on the tanker. Ships were diverted locally, but there were no delays.
