Bunker tanker TAIAN NO.2 at around midday Oct 19 was pushed by a wind gust onto piers corner and suffered hull breach, reports Maritime Bulletin.
What happened?
Operating in Taichung port, Taiwan, bunker tanker TAIAN NO.2 was pushed by a wind gust onto piers corner at around midday Oct 19. According to reports she suffered a hull breach, in the starboard cargo tanks area.
Any damages reported?
Some fuel from the damaged tank leaked into harbor. Cleansing operation was launched, with the tanker fenced off by booms.
