Tanker Struck Oil Berth

Product tanker struck oil berth at San Lorenzo, Parana river, Argentina, early Feb 5, while leaving the port after completing cargo operations, reports Maritime Bulletin.

Damages reported

Pier constructions were damaged, extent of damages unknown. Tanker was allowed to resumed her voyage with some 9000 tons of biofuel loaded, destined for Netherlands.

Still anchored

Tanker anchored at Zona Comun Anchorage off La Plata, Argentina, late Feb 5, probably for bunkering, but as of Feb 8, was still at anchor, so maybe there’s an investigation going on awaiting damages assessment.
