Tankers International, the world’s largest VLCC shipping pool, has expanded its fleet with the addition of two vessels from a Vietnamese-based shipping company. MT Felix and MT Symphony have joined the pool, bringing the total number of vessels to 35. Both ships are equipped with scrubbers, enhancing the pool’s environmental compliance capabilities.
Strengthening the Pool’s Network and Performance
Charlie Grey, CEO of Tankers International, highlighted the significance of these additions, noting that the new vessels will help optimize time charter equivalent (TCE) rates for pool partners. The inclusion of the Vietnamese vessels not only increases the diversity of ownership within the pool but also enhances access to a broader customer base and cargo portfolio.
